To everyone who knows my mom, she received her mission call yesterday! She'll be going to the San Diego, California mission. She is set to leave July 28, headed for the MTC in Utah. She's been preparing for some time for this and is so excited. California is one place none of us even thought about. This is her second mission. Her first being 12-13 years ago to Cape Town, South Africa. This is a work she truly loves. I think, given her choice, she'd serve a mission continually for the rest of her life. She's a beautiful person with a great love for her Lord and Savior. Congratulations, mom. We love you!

Cal-i-forn-ia, Here She Comes!!!!

How exciting for her! I have a brother who served there and he loved it. It is beautiful there and the weather is soooooo nice. It'll be quite different from the heat and humidity of the south. And she'll get to visit the beautiful San Diego Temple! It is absoultely breathtaking! I'm sure she'll love it there. So happy for her.

Oh your mom is so LUCKY - San Deigo has the most fantastic weather in the USA! It's beautiful and cool, even in the summer.
Jason & Wendy were married at the temple there, which really looks like a castle meant for a princess. No kidding, when you go south on the freeway and come upon the temple, there have been several wrecks when people see it. WTG to your mom! :)
